The second year student, who already had a following on her , originally set a target of £100 by selling her work to help support NHS staff, care workers and volunteers. But after reaching that goal within a week of the coronavirus lockdown, she’s gone on to raise almost £300.
George still has many prints available and intends to continue donating all sales to NHS Charities Together. She said: “I’m completely overwhelmed with the support from friends, family and fellow art students, I am delighted to have I’ve managed to raise this much so far.
“Studying Fine Art Painting at 茄子视频 has been enjoyable so far, though testing at times this year. Working at home in a temporary studio in my garage has meant finding new ways to develop my practice, and one of these ways has been to share my artwork to help raise money for a great cause.”
George describes her work as ‘playful’ with an ‘often digital adoption of abstraction’ and takes inspiration from the spilling actions of Helen Frankenthaler and the mark making of Jonathan Lasker.
